(DIS)CONNECTED
We live in an increasingly interconnected world. Advances in technology allow us to circumvent language barriers and cover large distances, while diplomatic and political developments have blurred national borders and narrowed the gaps between social groups. At the same time, warnings of information overload share newspaper headlines with reports of rising loneliness. Are we actually one great family or simply alone together - connected or disconnected? What does (DIS)CONNECTED mean to you?
At TEDxEdUHK 2019, we invited speakers from different backgrounds to share their own unique perspectives inspired by this topic.

About TEDx
About TEDx
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.
TEDx brings the spirit of TED’s mission of ideas worth spreading to local communities around the globe. TEDx events are organized by curious individuals who seek to discover ideas and spark conversations in their own community. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED.
